Lisa Beaumont MCIM

Stroke Survivor - Patient Representative

Mother, stroke survivor, fully qualified marketing professional.

I survived a life-threatening brain haemorrhage and a secondary stroke in 2011, aged 44. I am a highly qualified, award-winning marketing practitioner with 20 years+ of experience. I learned to use my first smartphone on discharge from the hospital in 2012.

I used my marketing skills to found a peer support group for Different Strokes in West Kent. And my own business venture, Lisa Beaumont Marketing. I enjoy using my lived experience to assist companies in the neurological sector, such as Neuro ProActive, for whom I have given a fresh perspective as a user of this therapist-led rehabilitation device. In my spare time, I enjoy writing poetry and I recommend the benefits of art therapy to my Peer support group members.

Awarded prize for best performance nationally in 1996, by the Worshipful Company of Marketors, when I passed the Chartered Institute of Marketing’s, Diploma in professional degree-level.
