Saira comes from a legal background and started her career in digital health as a Product Manager for an NW London patient App which was deployed across the NWL STP. She has also worked as part of the Integrated Care Pilot/Programme for Outer NW London, and the NW London Digital Programme. Saira is also a recent Fellow of the NHS Digital Pioneer Fellowship (2019 Cohort) and was awarded the SPIRIT Award 2020 by DigitalHealth.London.
Prior to joining ORCHA, Saira was the Digital Citizen & Innovation Programme Manager for North West London Collaboration of Clinical Commissioning Groups where her passion to empower others launched the first Digital Citizen Education Programme aimed to digitally activate patients and improve digital literacy. The programme was the regional winner of the NHS Parliamentary Award under category ‘The Future NHS’ with numerous nominations from local MPs.
In her spare time, Saira is the Co-Founder of Project DESI, which aims to digitally empower members of the BAME community through social inclusion.
Saira joined ORCHA in late November 2019 as she was keen to progress her work towards increasing the uptake of digital health and ensuring that everyone has access to safe and reliable health applications and tools.
